The Dog HouseOne of my husband's fondest memories of a Labrador Retriever is of a black Lab pulling him out of a snowdrift when he was a small tyke. I grew up on the east coast, participating in my mother's favorite hobby – showing Boxers, and later, Norwich Terriers. However, it was a Labrador Retriever that I pined for all those years! Finally, my husband and I bought our first Labrador in 1988. He stood 27 inches at the withers and resembled a Shetland pony! Years after that, we began going to dog shows and field events, which let us discover the "English-type Labrador." We were lucky enough to purchase our foundation bitch, Countryside Anticipation, W.C. (1994). With each generation we breed, it is with temperament, health, and type in mind to preserve the Labrador Retriever. I hope our website tells you a little of our journey… Home | About Us | Annie | Gracie | Litters | Dogs We've Bred | Links | Contact Site design and graphics by Devenne |
